(russ. Pribavlenie) beteten die Sch\u00fcler zu Anfang des Schuljahres oder bei schwachen Leistungen in der Schule. Das Motiv entwickelte sich in Russland erst gegen Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts. Anregend waren Graphiken westlicher Marien-Gnadenbilder. Das glockenartige Kleid der Gottesmutter erinnert an die steifen Gew\u00e4nder katholischer Madonnen, wie der Muttergottes von Loreto oder Einsiedeln.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Abgesehen vom seltenen Motiv ist die hier abgebildete russische Ikone aus dem Jahre 1758 auch eine Besonderheit aufgrund des Oklads. Auf den ersten Blick scheint es sich um ein fein ausgearbeitetes, vergoldetes Silberoklad zu handeln, doch der \u00dcberfang ist ein <strong>aufwendig gefertigtes und vergoldetes Oklad aus Stuck<\/strong>! Der Erhaltungs-zustand ist vorz\u00fcglich. Es ist wahrscheinlich, da\u00df kein vergleichbares Oklad in dieser Qualit\u00e4t die Zeiten \u00fcberdauert hat. Vermutlich war die Ikone fr\u00fcher im Besitz hochgestellter Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten bzw. in einer Schule f\u00fcr adelige Kinder!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The Icon of the Mother of God \u201cThe Addition of Mind\u201d (russ. Pribavlenie) is prayed to for successful study at the beginning of each school year and for the enlightenment of the mind in learning. This icon owes its origins to the deep faith of the Orthodox in the Blessed Virgin as the Intercessor before God and Her Son about the gift of spiritual and material blessings to people, among which the enlightenment of the mind and the heart by the Divine Truth holds the most important place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">In Russia the motif developed at the end of the 17th century. Western graphics of miraculous images of the Mother of God functioned as inspiration sources. The dress of the Mother of God, which reminds of a bell, looks like the inflexible vestments of catholic Madonna-figures, like the Mother of God of Loreto or Einsiedeln.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Apart from the rare motif the featured russian icon from the year 1758 is specific because of its oklad. The oklad looks like a very fine and gilded silver-oklad, but it is an elaborate, high-quality and gilded work of gesso! The condition is very good! Probably there is no comparable oklad of this quality which had outlasted the last 200 years!
