Das Interessante an dieser westrussischen Ikone aus der Zeit um 1800 sind zudem die ausf\u00fchrlichen Texte im Bildfeld und am unteren Rand:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Die kirchenslavische Titulus-Inschrift lautet: &#8222;Abbild der <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Geisselung unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, unseres Gottes und Retters.&#8220; Der Text neben der S\u00e4ule besagt: &#8222;Jesus Christus, der Herr, wurde an eine Steins\u00e4ule gebunden, und er wurde schmerzhaft von den H\u00e4nden der Krieger mit dornigen Ruten <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">geschlagen. Er wurde gequ\u00e4lt, und die Wunden schmerzten unertr\u00e4glich, und entkr\u00e4ftet fiel er auf den Boden.&#8220;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Am unteren Rand ist zu lesen: &#8222;Du siehst meine vielen s\u00fcndigen Wunden, und f\u00fcr Dich bin ich auf den Boden gefallen und habe gelitten, und nach diesem Leiden werde ich wieder auferstehen. Kommet mit Mitleid zu mir, verneige Dich zu meinen F\u00fc\u00dfen, und sch\u00e4me Dich nicht, auf den Boden zu fallen. Damit bringst Du mir Dank und bleibst mir ewig treu.&#8220;<!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The icon-motif of the Castigation of Christ is very rare.\u00a0 Moreover the texts at this westrussian icon from the time around 1800 are quite interesting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The church-slavonic title above: &#8222;Image of the Castigation of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour.&#8220; The text besides the pillar: &#8222;Jesus Christ, Our Lord was bound at the pillar and treated painfully from the hand of the soldiers with thorny roods. He was tortured, and his wounds hurted unendurably and he was sunken devitalized to the floor.&#8220; At the bottom frame: &#8222;You are seeing many of my sinful wounds. For you I&#8217;ve been sunken to the floor and have suffered, and after the sufferings I will resurrect.
